Rage With A Smile Photography | Hare at last
I am lucky to see hares a lot where I live - right in the fields along my street here in Laxfield, Suffolk, where I walk my dog Ozzie every day, sometimes passing by my dining room window even, and yet in the two years I have lived here I have only managed to get those distant shots of hares playing or scurrying away as they see me approach. It's been a long held desire for me to get a shot of a hare I can be proud of and finally I think I'm there. Only a days before I took these photos I bought a painting of a hare that now hangs on my bedroom wall - it must have brought me luck! I hope you like these photos as much as I do - it was a magical encounter, made all the more extraordinary by the fact I had Ozzie right with me but the hare still braved coming close and enjoying its breakfast right there in front of me. It was a magical 15 minutes ... and I am so proud of Ozzie for being such a good boy and not pouncing on the hare (although Ozzie's frantic shaking as he sat beside me in front of the hare made taking the photos even more tricky and I have no doubt he was not too best pleased with me for keep a tight grip on his lead!).
Photos taken with my Sony A7.
